Shortlist podcast guests from a conference speaker list

A tech podcaster and journalist tested Perplexity Comet on his own work, including turning an email listing 50 conference speakers into researched podcast guest recommendations.

What they did

Starting from an email that listed 50 speakers at the HumanX conference, he asked Comet to pull the event agenda, research the speakers, surface the main themes and suggest who would make good guests for his show. Comet worked across the email and the conference pages in the browser. In the same hands-on he also tested scheduling, travel planning and product comparisons.

How it went

He reports that Comet pulled the agenda, researched the speakers, identified recurring themes and returned a list of recommended podcast guests.

Worth knowing

This was a single early hands-on session with no measure of recommendation quality. In the same test Comet put the wrong recipient on a draft email, so outputs need checking.
