Prepare performance reviews from your existing notes in minutes
Docusign managers use NotebookLM in Google Workspace with Gemini to query their existing notes on each team member and build a performance review report, part of a company-wide Gemini rollout.
What they did
Managers load the notes they already keep on each person into NotebookLM and ask it questions to assemble a review report. The company also uses NotebookLM and Gemini-based chat to support employees with new policies, and keeps a list of best-practice Gemini answers to check prompt quality.
How it went
The company says review preparation dropped from four to five hours per person to under 30 minutes, about a 90% reduction.
Worth knowing
The output is only as good as the manager's own notes, and the article does not describe checks for bias or accuracy. A planned HR agent for new-hire questions was not yet live.
Try it with Gemini
Using only my notes in <notes folder for team member> and their goals in <goals doc> for <review period>, draft a performance review: key contributions with dates, strengths, areas to grow, and suggested goals for next period. Mark every point with the note it came from, and list topics where I have too little evidence to judge.
