Get a daily business metrics report drafted before you wake up
A newsletter writer who sells on Amazon set Claude Cowork to pull two scheduled sales reports each morning and turn them into a daily business report waiting in her email drafts. She says it mostly works but still needs checking.
What they did
Amazon Seller Central and Triple Whale were set to email scheduled reports. A Cowork task runs at 6:10 every morning, opens the Amazon notification and downloads the current file, analyzes both reports, and writes a daily report as a Gmail draft. She keeps auto-send off and reviews each draft herself.
How it went
The poster says the setup is about 95% there and that a spot check found the numbers mostly right with a few small discrepancies. The report needed little editing.
Worth knowing
Claude repeatedly analyzed old files left in the downloads folder and copied odd formatting from earlier runs until told not to. Her computer has to stay on, and she still does not trust it enough to send without review.
Try it with Claude Cowork
Every day at <time>, open the newest report emails from <your sales platforms>, download today's files (never reuse older files in the downloads folder), and compare yesterday with the previous day and the same day last week. Write a short plain-text business report with the key numbers, what changed and anything that looks wrong, and save it as an email draft to <your address>. Do not send it.
We wrote this prompt from the case. Replace the parts in angle brackets with your own details.
What this label means: User reports
Someone using it at work posted about it. Any numbers are theirs, so we write "the poster says".
Real cases of AI agents at work, from every major agent, each linked to where it was first reported. Rewritten in our own words, most with a prompt you can try. These are not Wize customers.
