Claude Code · Anthropic
Generate search ad copy as an upload-ready CSV
A growth marketer at Anthropic built a Claude Code slash command that turns campaign data into Google Ads responsive search ad copy, plus a Figma plugin for ad variations. The company says ad creation went from about 30 minutes to about 30 seconds.
What they did
He typed a custom /rsa command; Claude Code asked for campaign data, existing copy and keywords, then checked drafts against Agent Skills covering brand voice, product accuracy and Google's RSA rules. After a few rounds of edits it output a CSV with campaign and ad group columns, 15 headlines and 4 descriptions per ad. Separately he had Claude Code build a Figma plugin that takes headlines from a Google Sheet and renders every variation across aspect ratios in one click.
How it went
The company says ad creation dropped from about 30 minutes to about 30 seconds, and the Figma plugin took under an hour to build and saves close to 30 minutes per large batch update. The time saved went into running more copy tests.
Worth knowing
The first plugin prototype barely worked and needed troubleshooting, and the copy often needs refining. Every ad is reviewed by hand before upload, and quality depends on examples written by human copywriters.
Try it with Claude Code
Create a slash command called /rsa for Google Ads responsive search ads. When I run it, ask me for <campaign name>, <current ad copy> and <target keywords>, then check drafts against the brand voice notes in <brand guide file>. Keep headlines within 30 characters and descriptions within 90. Output a CSV with campaign and ad group columns, 15 headlines and 4 descriptions per ad, and do not upload anything.
