Read, search and summarize Slack channels and DMs
A community MCP server that lets an agent pull channel history, threads, unread messages and DMs from a Slack workspace and search across them. Posting messages is switched off unless you turn it on.
When to use it
Use it when a manager wants a daily digest of what happened across busy Slack channels or needs to find a past decision fast.
What it can access
- Runs code
- Uses the internet
Before you install it: Uses a Slack OAuth token or, in stealth mode, browser session tokens copied from your logged in Slack, which carry your full user access. Prefer OAuth, keep posting disabled or limited to set channels, and treat the token like a password.
Works with
Open-source tools often need access tokens for your apps. Wize reads the code, keeps the access as narrow as the job allows, and sets it up so a person approves anything that goes out.
